It's always kind of sad saying goodbye to everyone at the end of a season in San Carlos. Most return north at the end of March or April, except a few people who stay over the summer. But, as the days get longer and the temperatures hit the 90s, we feel the push to get home to family and friends.
There is always something fun going on, and with the addition of good friends, Susan and David, from Marblehead, and family, Janet, there is never a dull moment. For Semana Santa weekend we decided to hire Gabby's boat, Sassy Lady, to tour the beaches and see the suunset and full moon rise. Usually, we walk downtown to mingle with the crowds, but this year's experience was the best of all the years we have participated in this Mexican Easter holiday.

The beaches weren't as crowded as usual for Semana Santa weekend, but for San Carlos, where you hardly see a soul all winter, this was quite a bunch! |
It was mercifully partly cloudy but still warm enough for swimming. |
We figured that this might be pretty close to the beach where we spread Molly's ashes. |
The dolphins this night were the best we'd ever seen them. There must have been at least 20 of them. They were swirling about, jumping out of the water and swimming alongside of the boat. This is where you need a little bit better camera though to capture all the action! |

The sunset outdid itself! Look at the color of the water! You never did see such a happy fivesome! |
Soooo happy together 🎼 |
Happy family! |
Love my man's beautiful glow! |
We pulled into Martini Cove where there were probably a dozen boats, all drowning each other out with their different music! Some were swimming, not afraid of being run over. |
And we were not disappointed in this beautiful full pink moon. |
It took a real effort in the weeks leading up to Semana Santa, but the new hotel down the street from us, Sawari, opened two days before the crowds came to town. We were impressed with its beauty, the food and its outstanding service. We had a margarita with Katie and Janet and then had hamburgers. I think we might have been the first people to eat here.
Saturday night we hung out at our place for dinner and on Sunday, we went to Margene and Joe's after a nice brunch here earlier in the day.

Last beach day for Janetski! She is sad to go, but has a lot to accomplish for the next phase of her life. We hate to see her go, but know she must. She has stored her things and plans to come back in November for the winter next year! YAY! |
